Welcome To Kingsbury Catholic Church

Welcome to Our Lady Of The Way Catholic Church, Kingsbury

We are part of the Diamond Valley Deanery, a group of new parishes who work together on many projects to spread the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our Parish is a Eucharistic Community with La Trobe University in our boundaries. Our Parish is a multicultural group of families and students with permanent and rental housing.

Our purpose/mission is to be a stable and prayerful presence in the midst of a busy community and as a gathering space for people to praise God. There are many active groups in the parish and a school as well. We are looking forward to seeing you. Yours truly in Christ.

Fr.Terry Bergin (Parish Priest)

This Sunday, Palm Sunday or Passion Sunday, is the first day of Holy Week. Holy Thursday, Good Friday and the Easter Vigil are three highlighted days of the church year. Throughout Holy Week, we will continue to reflect on events of Jesus Passion and death. As we meditate on the cross, we ask again and anew what it means to make the statement of faith that Jesus, in his obedience, suffering and dying, revealed himself to us as God’s Son and brought to fulfilment the Kingdom of God.

A note from St Pius X Parish: Our Parish introduces a quiet, joyful place where children can meet God. This is a designated class for the religious formation of children called “The Atrium”. It is the place where children explore stories from the Bible, the life of Jesus and the mass with beautiful materials, to understand the Mass and the rich symbols. It is based on Montessori Principles of Education and it is age appropriate to the development of children. Groups for pre-schooler (from 3-6 year olds): 9.15am to 11am every Thursday. Cost: $50 per child for a term. Address: St Pius X Parish, Waterdale Rd Heidelberg West. Any person wishing to sponsor a child for 1 term please see Fr Terry or Dorothy.
