New Weekend Mass Time for both OLW and Holy Name: Both communities of OLW and Holy Name have supported the new weekend Mass Times. This change will be effected from Saturday/Sunday 5th -6th August 2023. Mass times will be as per roster, on the door and in the bulletin.
Saturday Night: 6:00pm at Our Lady of the Way
Sunday Morning: 9:00am at Our Lady of the Way
Sunday Morning: 10:30am at Holy Name
Sunday Afternoon: 4:00pm at Holy Name (Vietnamese)
MOTHER’S DAY RAFFLE COMING SOON: Mother’s day is fast approaching. Support our community raffle by purchasing a ticket for $1 each. All contributions go towards supporting the church community and future functions. 3 great prizes to be won. Raffle drawn on the 10th of May.
Please join us for Mother’s Day for Mass, on Sunday the 11th of May at 9am. This will be followed by Morning Tea and Hospitality. Join us as we give thanks to all the mothers and women in our families and community. Please bring a plate to share. All Welcome.
PARISH LEADERSHIP TEAM MEETING: During our previous meeting, the following topics were reviewed: Maintenance: ceiling (water leakage), carpet repairs and mulch/ sleepers for garden; Finance: we will trial an Eftpos machine. We discussed the current state of the Child Care development. If you would like any topics discussed, please forward to a member of PLT. Next meeting 29th of April at 7pm.
BLESSING OF HOMES : Anyone wishing to have their houses blessed during the Easter Season, please let Fr John know to organise a time
PARISH LUNCHEON: The next Parish luncheon will be on the 30th of April, Wednesday at 12.00pm at the Summerhill hotel. Sign-up sheets will be in the foyer or speak to Margaret at 9am Sunday Mass. All are welcome!
Church Volunteers : Thank you to our parishioners who continue to volunteer and support the parish: Readers, Ministers, Collectors and Counters, setting up and cleaning after mass, organising social events and morning teas, church and garden maintenance to name a few. Thank you for stepping in and supporting the community of Our Lady of the Way. If you are interested in reading, becoming a Eucharist Minister, or wanting to help out in any way, please speak to Fr John or a member of the Parish Leadership Team (PLT)
